Why can I see £1 charges on my account?
A £1 pending charge denotes an active card check between a bank and a payment provider.
When first purchasing with us, or using a new card for the first time, a test is sent to your payment card's issuing bank to confirm that your card is a valid number, and hasn't been reported as lost or stolen.
It is not a real payment and is reversed. However, it can take a couple of hours to disappear from your statement. If the £1 isn’t released by the end of the week please check with the bank as it should not be held as we don’t actually take the money.m your statement.
